replo or pagedeck? how to choose your shopify landing page builder
Most Replo-versus-Pagedeck comparisons are written by someone who builds in one of them and wants you to pick their tool. Reedys is a verified expert in both, so this is the version with no horse in the race: what they share, the questions that actually decide it, and the honest third option nobody selling you a builder mentions.
what they both get right
The reason page builders exist at all: on most Shopify stores, campaign pages die in the theme dev queue. By the time the page ships, the campaign moment has passed.
- Pages publish straight to your Shopify store - no subdomain, no separate hosting
- Your team can edit pages after launch without touching code
- No theme surgery: campaign pages stop competing with theme releases
- Shipping velocity: a new offer page in days, not sprint cycles
the questions that actually decide it
Feature tables age badly - both tools ship updates constantly, and most feature gaps close within months. The durable differences are about your team and your stack, not the tools:
- Who edits pages after launch? A marketer who lives in the tool daily has different needs than a founder who touches it monthly
- What page types dominate your calendar - offers and listicles for paid traffic, or evergreen pages that lean on your theme's design system?
- What's already in your stack? Review platforms, analytics, subscription apps - integration friction is real and specific to your setup
- How often do pages actually ship? Weekly campaign cycles justify different tooling than quarterly refreshes
the third option: neither
Sometimes the right answer is a custom Liquid section in the theme you already run - theme-native speed, no builder subscription, edited in the Shopify theme editor like everything else. It suits evergreen pages and stores where one design system matters more than campaign velocity. The published example: The Protein Pancake's store runs on Liquid, with a custom cart drawer that replaced a $200/month app.
what i'd actually tell you
It depends on your store - and anyone who answers before seeing it is selling a tool, not a result. On a 20-minute call I'll look at your stack, your team and your campaign calendar, and recommend Replo, Pagedeck or neither. The pages that come out the other end are built by the same person either way, which is rather the point.
